Mr Jobe is the current chairman of Atlas, which is a merger of Total and Elton Gambia. He won the election at Friday’s GCCI AGM at Kairaba Beach Hotel, succeeding Muhammad Jagana whose term ended. Hundreds of people, mainly supporters of the United Democratic Party, staged a march from Tipper garage to Westfield to mark the 3rd anniversary of the death of activist Solo Sandeng in the hands of the NIA.
