Nyang Njie Made OIC Communication Director!

Nyang Njie, AKA Daddy Njie, a Co-host at the Kerr Fatou show has been appointed Communication Director at the newly formed OIC Secretariat, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. Mr. Njie received his appointment letter about a week ago. He is heading the Communication Division of the Secretariat. The OIC Secretariat is situated in Brusubi. Njie has finally landed himself a high paying job with the Barrow government. 

Millions of dollars have been earmarked for the OIC Summit due to be held in Banjul in the next two years. Mr. Njie is said to be an “economist.” He onetime worked at the Ministry of Finance during Jammeh’s government but was later fired. He has since been out of government employment.

Njie ventured into talk show host with the Kerr Fatou show aired on state television GRTS in the aftermath of Jammeh’s fall. He is a controversial opinionated Gambian blogger.

Mr. Njie was in Saudi Arabia last week. He met with the Gambian Ambassador to the Islamic Kingdom OG Sallah. Sallah is the main man coordinating the OIC Conference in the Arab world. He recently had his contract with the Gambian government terminated but following the intervention of the Vice President Fatoumatta Jallow Tambajang, the decision was rescinded.

Sallah was allowed to stay on the job because they said, he was the most competent Gambian to oversee the OIC multi-million dollars conference project. He has vast experience in working in the Arab world as a Diplomat.

Though, he was onetime declared persona Non Grata by the former Libyan Government under the late Muammar Gaddafi’s leadership. This followed, allegations that OG Sallah and some staffers of the Gambian Embassy in Tripoli, were engaged in smuggling alcohol beverages into the Islamic country.  The incident happened during former President Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara’s government.

The VP and Sallah had family relations. The VP’s son Alpha Barry, is married to the sister of OG Sallah’s wife. Barry is a Chartered Accountant. He became the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gambia Ports Authority during Barrow’s watch. His biological mum and VP Fatoumatta Jallow Tambajang, shared the same Mum and Dad.

Meanwhile, the VP’s son Omar Ann, a former Raleigh taxi driver, is also part of the OIC Secretariat. He was hired together with Nyang Njie, sources said.
