I was pleased to see thousands of people from the Kanifing Municipality and Banjul marched to the State House to show their support and solidarity to my government. I thanked them for the courtesy call and assured them of my commitment to the development of the country.
Already works have commenced in Banjul to provide better roads, drainage and sewage systems. We cannot do it alone, while outsiders help, Gambians have to unite to move the country forward. The youth in particular must be ready to get into jobs such as bakery, fisheries, tailoring amongst other sectors in the economy. It is only then we could take control of our economy while creating employment for our youths.
