Gambians React To President’s Barrow’s Emotional and Candid Speech

Cany Jobe – Barrow consistently gives his most expressive and candid speeches in our vernacular. It’s a rare feat that he speaks at least four of them and I think he should use that to his advantage. This speech is very unlike its flat English counterpart when he addressed the nation. A part of me had hoped and wished that he would do it in the majority language of the Faraba commnity and had it translated to other local languages and English for maximum resonance.

President Adama Barrow we don’t vote for this.
This is another sin of dictatorship this security are disgrace and we condemn it period.
Insults are unruly behaviors forbidden in our society even if they’re politically affiliated. Anyways they way this guy is mishandled openly in the video is also another sign of intimidation by so-called security personnels .

Buba Mbaye – Adama Barrow acknowledged sacrificing his son to salvage Gambia from dictatorship. What a bizarre statement…… Mr president this are not how one scores political points. the death of your son and the killings in Faraba banta by the police, are two unrelated happenings. so spare us the sermon of your cheap political scores……. What Gambia needs is your undivided assurances and political will to deliver what is expected of you…….. Bizarre indeed.

I had nothing against Adama Barrow but see his cluelessness has cost two lives again, youths so to speak. As i’m writting this post he doesnt know the next steep to take.
This is the prize we have to pay for allowing someone with zero% leadership qualities to lead a nation hungry for eithical leadership.
Now is the time to stop the finger pointing and the blame game and demand justice for the deceased persons.
