Gambia: Former VP Fatoumatta Jallow Tambajang Finally Releases Statement After Sack from President Barrow

On June 29th, 2018, I was relieved from my post as Vice President and Minister of Women’s Affairs by H.E, President Adama Barrow.

I thank God Almighty for enabling me to champion the creation and success of Coalition 2016, which uprooted Yahya Jammeh’s 22-year dictatorial regime.

I thank all those who gave and continue to give me tremendous support, including H.E President Adama Barrow; my former cabinet colleagues; Gambian supporters in and out of The Gambia; and international partners, during my tenure in government.

My new mission as a private citizen is to continue championing democracy, sustainable peace, and development.
For The Gambia Ever True!
