GAMBIA: BREAKING NEWS: FATOU BOM BENSOUDA IS BEING GROOMED AS A PROSPECTIVE SUPREME COURT JUDGE IN THE GAMBIA!

FATOU BOM Bensouda is being groomed as a Supreme Court judge in The Gambia, this medium has been reliably informed by Judicial sources. Mrs. Bensouda works as a Chief Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court in the Hague. Her term at the ICC is about to expire, according to sources. Her name has been reportedly shortlisted as a prospective candidate for a Supreme Court judge in The Gambia.

Prior to heading the Prosecution Division at the ICC, Mrs. Bensouda works under Hassan Baboucarr Jallow, the current Chief Justice of The Gambia, while Jallow  was the Chief Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court for Rwanda. Justice Minister Abubcarr Tambadou was also among Justice Jallow’s staff.

Mrs. Bensouda recently served as a special guest at the launching of Gambia’s Truth, Reconciliation and Reparation Commission (TRRC). She delivered a speech at the launching of the TRC

Bensouda served as dictator Jammeh’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice. She studied Maritime Law. She was Justice Minister when the late Almamo Manneh was ambushed and killed by Jammeh’s agents. Manneh was accused of taking part in a foiled coup.

Mrs. Bensouda was part of a government delegation that visited Yundum Barracks in the wake of Almamo’s assassination. His remains were buried at the Yundum Barracks. An army clinic was later built at his grave at the Yundum barracks.
