Fatu Camara Expresses her displeasure at the Security present during President Adama Barrow’s arrival from Brussel
Fatu Camara, founder and CEO of The Fatu Network, one of the leading online news network covering Gambia News was at the Banjul International Airport with her crew yesterday to capture President Barrow’s arrival from Brussels, where the European Union held the Gambia Conference and pledged about 1.3 billion dollars to the Gambia’s National Development Plan.
As a citizen of Gambia, Fatu Camara had his crew ready to capture the day’s event for numerous Gambians around the world to watch how the President would be received. Unfortunately, Fatu and his crew had a struggle with the security present for the day’s occassion as her team found it difficult to do their work as pressmen. Thus, Fatu Camara went on her company’s Facebook Page, The Fatu Network, where she expressed her displeasure at the way security handled press people who were there to capture the President’s Arrival. This is what she wrote on her facebook page
“Our airport coverage was a struggle but it was a great one..Over 2,000 people watched it live, 255 shares, over a thousand comments with over 31,000 views as of now.
The security restricted us all through the event but it never stopped us cause we did nothing wrong. They were doing their job and we were equally doing ours. We hope the issue is addressed ASAP, for we were only there to inform Gambians and nothing else.
It was The Fatu Network’s first trip to the airport to cover the President’s arrival, unfortunately it turned out to be a very terrible experience from the begining to the end.”
