Court to visit mortuary to identify Solo Sandeng’s remains.
Justice Kumba Sillah-Camara of the High Court in Banjul yesterday declared that the court will move to visit the mortuary at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul to identify the remains of late Solo Sandeng, mattress, gloves and clothing.
Justice Kumba Sillah-Camara made this declaration following an application made by Lawyer Yassin Senghore for the prosecution during the examination in chief of the 25th prosecution witness; Spt. Thomas R.J. Gomez who purportedly exhumed the body of late Solo Sandeng at the SIS complex at Tanji.
Spt. Gomez was given evidence based on his report (Exhibit L) when he averred that he recalled informing the court that the mattress, gloves, clothing were recovered from the scene and they were kept safely at the mortuary in Banjul.
