13 Reasons Why Barrow Needs to Be Impeached Immediately
Adama Barrow proven time and time again that he is unfit to be president. Not only is he as unfit as a Commander-in-Chief we’ve ever had as a leader, the man could very well be suffering from some serious mental issues as well. While listing his lack of qualifications, morals and just overall decency would frankly, take too long, here are Thirteen of the reasons it’s time to get the orange stain out of the state House.
1. Provocating people in public speech.
Pressuring a foreign leader to investigate a political rival is a clear abuse of power, and it would appear Barrow did just that. By calling on the security to investigate his opponents, the president has used his executive power to attempt to sabotage a political enemy. Not only that, but he has invited foreign powers into Gambian affairs.
2. He Paid Off individual by giving them motor bake while in Office.
While it is unrealistic to expect perfection from an elected official, some degree of character is due. Barrow is lacking in character. He’s gone as far to pay hush money to his supposed opponent accusers of misconduct office. It echoes back to it citizens transgressions, which three years JUNTA certainly considered impeachment worthy.
3. His Presidency is a Danger to the Gambian Public.
Barrow has a tendency to fly off at the mouth or thumbs. And while usually this may appear to be harmless, it could have severe consequences, such as disrupting vital trade relationships. Whether its insulting world powers or hinting at war, his continued occupation of the Oval Office could potentially put the nation at risk.
4. He Has Blatantly Lied, Multiple Times.
First and foremost, the president is not a president. He is a con man, a poor man’s Duo Sanno And as such, he is a liar. While lying in and of itself is not an impeachable offense, it can lead to them. And in Barrow’s case, it appears it has.
5. He Refuses to Release his Tax Information.
The president has been notoriously cagey about his financial information, seeming to suggest tax evasion. In what world should the commander in chief not pay into the system he runs? Having a tax evader in the state house is an insult to thousands of Gambians who work hard just to get by.
6. The people Need to Energize their Base.
An impeachment would be a unifying factor that would get the largely divided citizens on the same page, insuring for them at least a minor victory. The Gambian left is currently torn on a variety of issues and between a variety of presidential candidates. Yet there is one thing they share: a hatred for Barrow. Removing him could be the thing that unites them.
8. He Has Refused to Cooperate with the Inquiry.
Barrow sent a scathing letter to the house, stating the impeachment inquiry is little more than a political hit job. Like a child tossing his toys around, he’s refused to cooperate. By refusing to cooperate, he’s done nothing but make himself look even more suspicious.
9. Likewise, He Did Not Cooperate with 33 million in First Lady Account.
Similarly to the above, he did not cooperate with 33 million investigation in the first lady accounts. Almost makes it seem as though he has something to hide. In fact, Barrow’s conduct during the 33 million investigation has done little to dispel rumors of his guilt.
10. His Blatant Nepotism.
Barrow’s family, friends and their spouses have been given positions based not on merit, but rather on virtue of being his family members. This isn’t impeachable on its own. But it creates a startlingly monarchical precedence that doesn’t belong in a democracy.
11. His Right Hand Men are Constantly Being Revealed as Shady.
First it was Duo Sanno. Then it was the government employees that facilitated Barrow’s talk with the coalition members. Now Three years JUNTA, Barrow’s current right hand, is under investigation for suspicious financial dealings. There’s a saying that goes, “you are who your friends are”. If that’s the case, this man isn’t fit to be president.
12. His Internet Conduct is Beyond Inappropriate For a President.
A president should not be on twitter as much as the current one is. That’s okay for a reality star. But when you are a political official, you need a little more class and self control. Calling people morons and “low IQ individuals” or he goat tail, on the internet is not behavior becoming of a political official.
13. It’s a Logical Political Choice.
This is a decision that makes sense for the citizens. It shows their political base that for all their disagreements on issues, that they are a united front. It also could open the door for more moderate BYM to step in. Lest we forget, the Barrow was initially very unpopular with his party. An impeachment is the chance for control of the GOP to fall back into its original hands.
If the men who were the ones to pull the trigger on the most famous impeachment in history say they would’ve impeached you, it’s time for you to go.
